When I think of being Patriotic, I think of thanking those who gave us our freedom, so today's card is a "Thank You" with an Americana feel to it. Today's Card is simple to put together, but the recipient will never know that!
Here's how to make it:
Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:
- Thick Whisper White - 8.5" x 5.5" - scored at 4.25"
- Real Read - 4" x 5.25"
Die Cut with Stitched Rectangles:
- Night of Navy - largest Stitched Rectangle (3.75" x 5-1/8")
- Whisper White - three pieces using the smallest Stitched Rectangle that naturally nests in the largest Stitched Rectangle (2-3/8" x 1")
- Real Red - two pieces using the smallest Stitched Rectangle that naturally nests in the largest Stitched Rectangle (2-3/8" x 1")
Die Cut with Stitched Stars:
- Whisper White - 5 of the smallest Stitched Stars (there is one smaller than what I used, but the star that cuts out has no stitching)
Stamp with the Parcels & Petals set:
- Stamp "Thank You" in Real Red on two of the Whisper White Stitched Rectangles
- Stamp "Thank You" in Night of Navy on the remaining Whisper White Stitched Rectangle
- I used my Stamparatus for this so that once I had my stamp centered and straight I could easily stamp all three sentiments in the same spot on each of the rectangles - it's such an amazing tool!!
Assemble Your Card:
- Fold your scored Thick Whisper White card base at the 4.25" score line and burnish with your bone folder
- Adhere the Real Red 4" x 5.25" mat to your card front, centered
- Adhere the large Night of Navy Stitched Rectangle to the Real Red Mat
- Adhere your small Stitched Rectangles to the large Night of Navy Stitched Rectangle
- Beginning with a Whisper White stamped in Real Red, align this piece to the top right corner of the Night of Navy Stitched Rectangle
- Adhere one of the Real Red Stitched Rectangles directly beneath your Whisper White one, being careful to not leave any Night of Navy exposed between the two - they will all fit perfectly as long as they are placed closely
- Adhere the Whisper White that is stamped with Night of Navy, then your second Real Red and finally the last Whisper White stamped in Real Red
- Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the 5 Whisper White Stitched Stars to the exposed Night of Navy Stitched Rectangle
